In-Powered (INP) is thrilled to welcome applications to our Fall 2017 Yoga Teacher Training cohort, intentionally designed to empower local K-12 educators to embed yoga & mindfulness initiatives into their schools. By completing the training, you will receive a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training Certification under the Yoga Alliance.
This program is tailored to support trainees to integrate individualized mindfulness and movement-based programs to impact youth and/or fellow colleagues in schools. Some of our previous graduates currently lead elective programs for youth, yoga classes for fellow colleagues, and mindfulness-based professional development sessions.
We are elated to announce that our Fall 2017 training will be hosted as an 8-weekend immersion-style program in Houston, Texas. Our team is ready to support you with innovative fundraising campaign and partnership options, which can be applied to your tuition and/or program-based equipment expenses.
Through this training, you will:
Generate, adapt and teach yoga sequences to meet the physical, mental and socio-emotional needs of your students.
Learn how to present basic methods of breath work and meditation to support students with re-training their Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) response.
Apply functional anatomy, and a basic understanding of physiology, to teach and lead students through engaging movement-based yoga sessions.
Learn how to adapt physical & verbal modifications to empower your students in their personal yoga practice.
Deepen your own personal practice and discover an expanded sense of being and contribution.
Experience breakthroughs in your leadership and self-expression, such that you have a new capacity to inspire and empower others.
By participating in and completing this training, you are committed to teaching a yoga class on your campus one day per week.
*While financial support is not guaranteed, In-Powered’s mandate is to identify and secure funding resources to supplement your program costs. In this effort, our team offers guidance as you develop and launch your personalized fundraising campaign page through In-Powered’s website.
